Local Denver Businessman Scott Claymon Named to the Board of Directors
of the National Portable Storage Association

KANSAS CITY (February 04) – The National Portable Storage Association (NPSA) has been officially launched to represent the interests of companies and employees that rent, lease, and sell portable storage containers, trailers and mobile offices. These companies rent, lease, or sell to a wide range of users including the retail industry, construction industry, manufacturers, consumers, and a multitude of other industries. The NPSA will provide industry professionals with effective support before local, state and federal government agencies, and establish a platform for the exchange of industry best practices and business opportunities.

There are presently over 3,500 companies involved in the portable storage industry, representing both service-based and manufacturing enterprises. Spurred by an industry consensus that a national association was needed to better represent their shared interests, NPSA established a board of directors last Fall to develop the new organization. With the board largely in place, NPSA is now in the midst of a national recruitment effort to attract a diverse membership of small and large companies. The NPSA is headquartered in Kansas City, MO.

“The NPSA has been formed so members may obtain new business, learn new ideas by networking at conferences and social events, learn to fight difficult municipalities, discuss insurance solutions, obtain valuable industry research and receive the NPSA newsletter among many things.” said Joel Rathbone, NPSA’s Executive Director. “NPSA will play a major role in assisting members with industry, regulatory and workforce issues, and facilitate marketing, legislative and regulatory support at the local, state and national levels.”
